Aberfeldy Parish Church
Built in 1843 as a Free Church, the galleries were removed, the floor area reduced and the roof lowered when it was made a church hall.
Aberfeldy was built in 1843 by Peter Skeen originally as a Free Church, and has undergone many changes throughout its life. After a union of congregations in the 1960s, the galleries were removed and the roof was lowered, making it a church hall, and a more intimate space for worship. The exterior however, has maintained some its original character, with the west tower retaining its appearance and its cooper clad spire, weathercock and clock stage.
The church later underwent major renovations and reopened in 2005. The space was transformed, with worship resuming in the newly extended sanctuary and new facilities added. This included a welcome area, crèche, halls and catering facilities, allowing for the church to serve as a centre for the community.
Today the church is a vibrant community involved in many charity projects and hosting social groups.
