Annual Accounts
Finance Sub-committee
The Director of Scotland’s Scotland’s Churches Trust manages the day-to-day cash flow of the Trust, working to a budget developed by the Finance Sub-committee in concert with J MacKay Accountants Ltd, which also provides bookkeeping services to the Trust, and agreed by the full board of Trustees.
The Trust’s portfolio is managed by Rathbones Group PLC with an investment manager at Rathbones given delegated authority to make decisions on financial investments on discretionary basis agreed in an investment policy that is regularly reviewed by Trustees. The Trustees have also precluded investment in companies involved in arms, tobacco, alcohol, gambling and adult entertainment. These are defined as companies with more than 20% of their turnover in these activities or collective funds with more than 20% of assets in these categories.
The Trust’s annual accounts are independently audited and produced by Hollis Accounting Ltd, Chartered Accountants, before being signed off by the board of Trustees ahead of their annual submission to the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
